Last week, two of my bipartisan housing bills advanced through the Financial Services Committee. Both bills accelerate affordable housing construction by cutting red tape, and now head to the House floor for a vote in January.

Housing affordability is one of the biggest challenges facing families nationwide. I worked across the aisle to pass a bipartisan housing package cutting outdated red tape that drives up costs. That’s progress—but real affordability will take more action from Congress.

I joined Kevin Kiley & Bret Baier to discuss our bipartisan “Fix It Act,” the only proposal that extends ACA tax credits & identifies how to pay for it. This solution will keep 22 million Americans from seeing health insurance premiums double—if the Speaker allows the bill to reach the House floor.

The Trump Administration’s changes to the Continuum of Care Program will slash housing funds & push thousands of housed but vulnerable neighbors into the streets. I’m leading a coalition of 32 colleagues demanding answers. We will not get more people off the street by pushing others onto it.
