Well a very sad day at Matts funeral. A lot attended and a good few travelled over the Pennines to be there. Richard the humanist who spoke was fantastic, some great memories, laughter then onto the wake, good to see people not seen for years and catch up. RIP Matt

Back from work and straight into a cold shower, cycling 6 miles in this heat is hard work. Max temp 31c and average 29c🥵🥵 fortunately some tall trees lining the road so some shade.

Driving home from work and furious withe idiots dog walking, you can clearly see they were panting like. Then even worse, I can only guess to save petrol a wife had her husband pushing the car, sadly you can't really see him behind but a faint glance at the end. What was she thinking 🤔 🥵🥵😡😡

For those like me who hate this hot weather......

T'neyt tea.... Homemade pizza sort of. Our own homegrown passata, on flat breads with tuna, sweetcorn (homegrown), onion and cheese. Air Fried, lovely so much tastier and nicer than shop bought.

New project in the shade for the sunny spot in the greenhouse. We have now got both solar irrigation and........ solar ventilation. #allotmentlife

Woke up, doggy walk, took some pictures, back in for a brew and a propper angry email to both the local councillor and MP. We are trialling waste hubs but there is more waste on the streets than the bins! Every weekend loads of bags get dumped and the seagulls are ripping them apart. Need reviewing

Home... Greenhouses looking good, not as many weeds owt on t' plot as I was expecting. However... . Maskotka tommys that got a bit battered with he winds we had before we went away have not recovered and looking good at all. #allotmentlife

Well on our way home today, been a fun week, dogs loved the space and the walks, I have enjoyed both the peace and family time. One last walk and then back to help with the packing. See you all later.

Guided me neighbour in chicken keeping as we are away next week, he loves being paid with fresh eggs, tomato plants sorted, some French bean seed sown as slugs been attacking the others. Chillies fed. Time for a brew then clean the chuck coop. Sun is out hurrah. #allotmentlife
