I have a new #elitedangerous alt - Yazra, Rawrunner Zell's sister - who I will put on a fleet carrier as her observer in the field. The Cobra Mk V is a beautiful little vessel for exploration! Currently I'm at @distantworlds3.bsky.social HQ, I'm in awe of what's been created in this system!

A floating point error in the Nahla Tracker code created phase display lag of up to TWO HOURS when anchoring. This was because of a ~0.00000001 ms rounding glitch in the code. Crazy how these seemingly infinitesimal offsets can create such massive differences. Now fixed... but wow. #elitedangerous

Nahla Tracker v0.51 (Sumerian) In tracking Nahla's day/night cycle, I hit a major flaw - EDSM data is unreliable and should not be used. The only reliable data is from observation. e.g. EDSM says Nahla temp is 333 K. Where? Never seen that. Even on the equator. Max is 275 K. 1/2 #elitedangerous

Things I didn't think of before on a 1-monitor Linux setup - running a terminal overlay onto my cockpit screen 👾 I can now make journal entries, read text docs, control the computer [well, within reason], and use Google Gemini from the terminal without switching out of Elite 🖥️ #elitedangerous
