Does anyone re-read your old work and fall in love with it? Was supposed to be doing my audio book recording and found myself lost in my own story for a few hours. Some days the imposter syndrome is strong, and other days I am impressed I wrote a paragraph of cohesive sentences.

I think the thing that scares some people is that no matter what we do, it ultimately amounts to nothing. You don't keep your cash after you pass. Legacies never last. The Earth won't be here in a few billion years. Write because you love it. Nothing else matters.

Results. Drawing and posting my own original non-AI character art related to my books for 2 1/2 months led to a drop in followers. Oh, no! 🤷🏼‍♀️ I work hard and I may not be proud of everything I draw, but I keep it real. At least you know I work hard on everything and am not a bot. Beep boop.

I'm an author who uses em dashes —. I'm not using AI. My basic uses are for clipped sentences when speaking. "What the f—" and its "proper" fiction use, as asides and things you'd see in parentheses ( ) in non-fiction such as essays and journals.
