sometimes I think about how walkelin's name is only walkelin because he wasn't given a name and was just called "nothing" until he was around 10, and only then named himself after a companion doll in the manon series who was made to be her attendant; and I think, what if someone gave him a name.

I think one of verrot’s most charming and also unsettling interests is his entomological pinning ; his solarium filled with terrariums, bell jars, glass caskets, frames and pins. his moths, butterflies, mantises, beetles. how he cannot hold them long without them withering in his touch.
