Mammoet’s engineers conducted a full 3D scan of ExxonMobil Fawley’s reactor. Using in-house planning software Move3D, they created a visualization of the project to show how the pedestal crane would be positioned and utilized on site. Check out this timelapse of the resulting lift!

Mammoet responded quickly to a request from ArcelorMittal Belgium, providing three mobile cranes to empty a pair of steel pans. Following an unexpected power outage, the two 470t vessels needed to be rotated 180 degrees, once cooled, so that they could return to the production process.

Mammoet was recently on hand to fit the vessel Blue Tern with a new gangway. The 70t module was lifted into position by our LTM 1750 SL mobile crane at Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam. This offshore wind installation vessel will soon be at sea, lifting turbine components up to 800t.

A bird's-eye view of the second span! As you might have seen, the first two sections of the new Portal North Bridge have made their way down the Hudson River. Each section measures over 120 meters and will eventually replace the century-old Portal Bridge, a key link between New Jersey and NYC.

A month ago, our Texas team was tasked with moving a 3,900t dragline. First the machine was jacked up roughly 1.5m to be loaded on SPMTs for transport. The almost 24 km journey included crossing a state highway, traversing a small creek, and going underneath four major high-voltage lines.

Last week our team successfully loaded the second section of the Portal North Bridge before it trekked down the Hudson River to its new home. In total three new bridge sections will eventually replace the century-old Portal Bridge, a key link between Newark, New Jersey, and NYC.

We keep rollin'! In December, Mammoet's crews in Texas carefully loaded an approximately 3,900t dragline onto SPMTs for a muddy ride. Although some draglines can ‘walk’ slowly, it would take the machine over a month to reach its destination. Mammoet moved the dragline using 150 axle-lines of SPMT.

When the client called our team in to address a damaged bridge at a #queensland mine site, they knew they could rely on our expertise and rapid response. In just five weeks, we engineered the removal and replacement plan and executed the critical removal of the damaged bridge span.
