If you’ve never ridden the ferry the interior might be the more interesting view than landscapes from the deck. Much in the way of the stairwells and rooms of train car, the corridors and galleries of these big boats are as much buildings as vehicles.

When I was in Europe for business a month and a half ago my rental grade rental car had a feature that would be a godsend for American roads: a little dial on the left hand dash that raised and lowered the angle of the headlights with a flick of a finger. You can also just manually aim your lights.
