Local, family and house history is everywhere, you just need to look for it! This pub sign at Bere Regis in Dorset uses heraldry to show how the Plunkett, Ernle, Erle, and Drax families were connected through marriage.

In the quiet Dorset hamlet of Winterborne Tomson stands St Andrew's Church—one of only four single-celled Norman churches in England with an apse at the east end. When you step inside you discover 18th-century oak fittings including box pews and pulpit with a unique wagon ceiling.
