Homefront: The Revolution is the first game I've ever played that you can see the influences so clearly, but still somehow manages to maintain its own identity. While it isn't a fantastic game, it's a nice urban twist on the Far Cry formula.

Just played through my favourite mission so far in The Great Circle. The most unique mission design in the game, creepy and mysterious environment and absolutely DRIPPING with style. I had goosebumps the entire time. and it isn't even a main story mission.

I love when games put out a patch that's just optimization. "It just runs better now. That's it." Like, hell yeah. That's almost as good as adding new features. I think every game with a long post-release patch cycle should do some of those.

I'm in awe of people that are capable of always having something to write about, and being able to write well consistently. I find it so difficult to actually have the idea to start with, let alone form any sort of cohesive writing about it.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. 'Mainstream media' is not blaming video games for violence. It's 1 article, from 1 outlet. Even describes Among Us, and acknowledges that it's a child friendly game. Every other article I can find is explaining how absurd linking assassination and Among Us is.

Currently having to chase up a new employer because they haven't contacted me about the JOB THEY WANTED ME TO DO. Now I get to feel nauseous and anxious over something that shouldn't be my problem.

I'm torn on the Indy game. I see lots of well deserved praise for the story, voice acting, puzzles etc, but little talk of combat. The stealth gameplay so far is missing any spice. The AI is pretty dull, limited routes through environments, and few tools to manipulate encounters in my favour.

Played through the first act of Vanquish today. 🎮 This is the game in the background of every old CSI episode where a kid gets arrested for drug possession. It doesn't get more video game than this.
