I played WWE 2k20's story campaign... for some reason. Here's my thoughts.

The draft for Konrad Campaign Chapter 2 is finally done. On to revisions tomorrow.

Finally getting back to writing after the holidays and a mild illness. It's a bit of a slog right now, but I'm almost back to my normal word count after two days back.

Netflix is buying Warner Brothers. Yay, let's go consolidation! That's sarcasm, by the way.

Decided to have a bit of a hot take on the Steam Machine. Still excited, but annoyed at people arguing about its classification.

Happy to learn the Visi ending in Dispatch wasn't bugged. Annoyed to learn I got the bad ending not because of my choices, but due to poor performance in the RNG based dispatch sequences the game spent the first 7 episodes not really having impact the plot.

Finished Outer Worlds 2 last night. Here are my thoughts.

Just finished Dispatch. My thoughts hot off the ending.

Arrow Rewatch. Only on ep 2, and it's already unreal that no one figured Oliver out immediately. This is only one step away from Clark Kent glasses level incredulity. Dude comes back from a deserted island with tattoos and multiple new skills. Something's fishy.

Got Netflix back to rewatch the Arrowverse. Should be fun. Then not fun. Then fun again. That plain bad. Then good again. Then Ollie dies and I stop caring.

When you've been writing a bit so you check your word count to see if you hit your target only to realize you're already over because the notification wasn't properly set.

I'm releasing the prose serial I wrote during the 2010s. The publisher collapsed, so it never got its proper release (or editing), but it is a finished project.

This week of Dispatch was really good. And that's saying something because it's been good the whole time. Ready to close it out next week.

So, after years away, I'm reinstalling Linux on one of my machines. I didn't even get to start the install before I had to research a problem. Ah, just like old times.

Jumping into Outer Worlds 2. Only just past the prologue. Like the streamlining so far, but only 2 skill points per level feels rough.

My thoughts on this week's episodes of Dispatch.

I'm sorry. If I'm paying for a device or service, I'm fundamentally opposed to ads in or on that device or service. You got your money from me. If you're taking ad money, give me the thing for free, because you're making way more on those adds than I could ever give you.

I've known the economy is an absurdity for a long time. Seeing people freak out about a crash in the price of items in a game like it's a thing that matters just cements that we live in a satire of a real world.

Played the first two episodes of Dispatch and had some thoughts.

Saw an article about an ad company using AI to put users' faces in the ads they're served. Are we cyperpunking yet? When do we get to cyberpunk?

Xbox basically being in console hospice has me wondering if I should buy any more games on my Series or get them on the Deck and hope I can afford a decent rig in the near future.

Random Opinion for Engagement: Now that DC and Marvel are cool again, can we have a hero exchange where they trade some characters for like a year?

Writing fantasy is nice because I get to write things like "diabolical hedge" and have it be completely serious.

Weirdly sad I don't have Game Pass. I really want to cancel a subscription in righteous protest, but I already got rid of them because I'm poor.

I wanted to make a post about how annoying it is that people have decided the em dash--one of my favorite writing tools--is a clear sign of AI generated content, but couldn't get it under the character count. I hate the future.

I received my first distribution from Amazon today, meaning I can finally call myself a paid writer.

In regards to the Nintendo game price hikes, I'm tired of still seeing the "games cost so much to make" argument. The companies doing this are massively profitable. They do not need to raise prices--they're already making money. They just want more.

On my off week for Eagle Park. I started working on a comic book script for a different idea. I wrote 5 pages (scripting for 5 comic pages, not 5 actual pages) out of 22. As long as I don't have any off days, I should be able to complete the draft before the week closes out.
