So, I got myself a Steam Deck, and the first thing I play on it is, of course, Obsidian's 2010 so-OK-it's-great Alpha Protocol.

I wanted to make a post about how annoying it is that people have decided the em dash--one of my favorite writing tools--is a clear sign of AI generated content, but couldn't get it under the character count. I hate the future.

I received my first distribution from Amazon today, meaning I can finally call myself a paid writer.

In regards to the Nintendo game price hikes, I'm tired of still seeing the "games cost so much to make" argument. The companies doing this are massively profitable. They do not need to raise prices--they're already making money. They just want more.

On my off week for Eagle Park. I started working on a comic book script for a different idea. I wrote 5 pages (scripting for 5 comic pages, not 5 actual pages) out of 22. As long as I don't have any off days, I should be able to complete the draft before the week closes out.

What the hell?

Watching the Nintendo Direct. Does the virtual game card offer any benefit, or is it just Nintendo over complicating digital games to be Nintendo?

Forgot to get my word count before closing Fade In, but the first draft of Eagle Park part 2 is done.

720 words today. Did four outline points since the last two were closely connected. On track to finish the draft this week.

A shorter day, today. Only 657, but I was this close to not writing, so I consider it a win. This makes the first week since I was writing the final draft of episode one that I've written on all my designated work days, so there's that.

1,014 words today. Technically 3 scenes, but 4 bullet points off the outline. Finished Act Two and moved into Act three.

834 words today. I'm targeting 3 scenes a day on the rough draft. Today's scenes were a bit shorter than yesterdays.

1,187 words today in less than an hour. Things are starting to flow.

Got three scenes done on the draft for Eagle Park episode 2 today. Good progress, but now I'm really glad I'm going prose over TV. This first act would be way too long for a teleplay.

The sad realization that you took too long to get your sci-fi political series off the ground and now real world politics make the idea too outlandish and not the aliens.

I'm 28 hours into #avowed and I can see why it's divisive. It feels like the expansion to another game. Not bad, but something is just missing.

After struggling with the outline for ep 2 of Eagle Park for a while, I finally sat down with Scrapple and bashed out a first draft (with pretty colors). I'm sure it's going to require a lot of refinement as I go, but I'm just happy to finally be working past the first story after so long.

Is there a fancy French word for the mixed feelings you get when the second story achievement in a game you like gives you the rare achievement diamond?

Taking my first big step toward self-publishing and reached out to some cover artists. Shouldn't have been anxiety inducing, but my brain stepped up to the challenge and made something out of nothing.
