I usually post across X, Bluesky, Mastodon, and Threads. So far I haven't used all the other integrations I've built, such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. I think I'm missing out on a lot of views that could add to my top funnel. Need to change that...

Shipped quote tweet support for Crosspublish today. You can now turn X URLs into quotes. After building it, I realized you can only quote post via the API if the original post mentions you. Quite annoying that quote posting is so heavily restricted.

Preparing material for the launch on @ProductHunt This will be the 6th thing that I launch on the platform, but by far the most polished. Will it pop, or will it flop? Whatever way it goes, the grind continues :)

X gives you a graph of your followers' active times. Scheduling posts into the non-active times makes no sense. So I added the most active times to the schedule.

I went though the recordings of visitors to my website. One thing that stood out: Many users click on the background because they think the overlay can be closed. I've also received this feedback from 2 other people. I was trying to avoid it, but I'm redesigning the landing page.

YouTube approved my app and all permissions!!! 🎉 It took 2 attempts 🫠 Luckily the review cycle was much shorter then Meta's. 😂 Only Pinterest, Google Business, and LinkedIn to go. Then I'll be able to support all major social networks 🥲 Keep goin'

Nearly 50/50 browser vs mobile split for my followers. Although most people won't use my product on a mobile, that's where they'll get their first impression. The landing page needs to look great on mobile.

Posting across socials is unlocking new traffic sources 📈 Only a fraction of platforms live, but seeing first hits from Facebook, Threads, and Pinterest. Now the priority is getting more traffic, and converting first trial users while I wait on API permissions for YouTube and TikTok. Hurry up 🙃

I don't want to 'spend more time' marketing 🫠 I want the same results in half the time. That's why I send every post to (at least) 6 social networks. You can't predict what the algo will pick up, but you can increase your surface area of luck.

Catching bugs is a big advantage of using my product daily. If I were solving someone else's problem, I I wouldn't be using my product half as much. Are you building to solve your own problem or someone else's?

Went for a walk and saw cirrus clouds. They look wispy, a bit like brush strokes. Not puffy like regular ones. Sitting in front of the editor all day makes me more aware of the small stuff around me, I think😂

Created a new YouTube channel for Crosspublish. I think this will become one of my best traffic sources. I've already made a channel in the past that grew to 21,000 subscribers.

Content calendar is slowly starting to fill up. Most of the content is scheduled across X, Bluesky, Mastodon, and Threads. But I want to schedule more for Instagram, YT Shorts, and Facebook Pages. Increasing the post volume should help me find all the open bugs.

this is exactly why I love using my SaaS daily: Whenever I run into something I don’t like, I just change it. For example, I set a limit of 30 schedule slots per week, but why? Right now, I need more. That’s the loop: use it, improve it, iterate on it every single day.

I've started to post on LinkedIn. It always feels quite strange to post on there. But both engagement and impressions are quite high.

Looking at this screen never gets old. Every time I post via Crosspublish I'm reminded about the painful journey of building each of those integrations. The integrations aren't even the hard part. Getting the permissions is! App review times have skyrocketed since vibe coding took off.

My best lead source right now is my competitor's changelog. Here's what my cold outreach loop looks like: 1: Find changelogs that show full names on feature requests. 2: Find a request I've already built. 3: Find that person on Social Media 4: Tell them I felt the same pain & built an alternative.

One of the things I always miss is being able to take notes and tags to posts. So I made this Metadata pane in Crosspublish that lets you mark posts and add text. You can now use the notes as a scratch pad for post ideas, links, and comments :)

Operation kill the sidebar part 2. I learned about hierarchy principles today, the images reflect that journey. The sidebar was an eye-strain, everything felt misaligned. Here's a before and after going from v2 to v3. Every day Crosspublish gets a bit better.

Making things as simple as possible is hard work. With Vibe coding it's tempting to add more stuff. But more != Better Decided to slash the sidebar. It adds no value. I want my cross posting tool to feel like constant Zen mode.
