David Cronenberg really did balance out the absolute grossness of The Fly by casting the most attractive (and tallest) power couple at the time for the lead roles.

With two new Evil Dead movies coming out in the next couple of years, I really hope they'll stick to the anthology vibe allowing young directors to flex their skills, rather then trying to connect all the films together with Bruce Campbell's Ash rolling out of an Avengers portal in a wheelchair.

If you ever wanted to see Triangle of Sadness but with more crazy camera work, more slapstick horror gore, yet somehow with less (but not zero) projectile vomiting, then Sam Raimi's SEND HELP is the movie for you.

ALL HER FAULT is a soap opera for people that look down on soap operas. I enjoyed it, mainly for Sarah Snook's and Sophia Lillis' (who was the sole reason I watched it in the first place) performances, but the contrast between all the crazy twists and how seriously it took itself was quite jarring.

IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS from @echohorror.com is the most unique movie novelization I can think of because it works not only as a novelization, but also as a prop replica from the movie itself. It's also a pretty fun read.

The new Highlander reboot may end up being a better movie than the original, but it will never be a better audiovisual Queen album than the original.

The unexpectedly weird part of the rise of fascism in the digital era is how the posts about comics, movies, and cute animals on my timeline get mixed with photos and videos of Americans getting executed in the streets.

If you ever feel useless, just remember that there's apparently a 4K version of 28 Days Later, a movie that was almost entirely shot on a digital 480p camera.

Somebody should make a movie about Jesus actually returning to Earth and reminding everybody of his actual values so that the Evangelics just crucify him again.

It's always called communism when it's a beautiful utopistic theoretical idea but then it's suddenly "not real communism" when that same idea is put into practice and it inevitably fails horribly.

I really enjoyed 28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE (especially with that one unique dance number). My only issue is that while the first movie had very clear themes and messages, I'm not really sure what this one was about, other than to segue us into the third film. But maybe I just need a rewatch.

28 Years Later really had the best soundtrack of 2025. It's a shame the Young Fathers aren't returning for the sequel, but Hildur Guðnadóttir is an amazing follow up and also since the first soundtrack was basically a full on studio album, it would be insane to release a second one within a year.

I enjoyed the first 28 Years Later, but this trailer really was something different. It made me believe the movie itself will be so terrifying that I wasn't sure I even want to see it. In the end it wasn't, but I don't think it was even trying to be. The trailer really is a piece of art on its own.

When it comes to TV shows about the end of the world, you've got your Walking Dead that's all about the logistics of surviving the apocalypse. Then you've got something like Battlestar Galactica that's about the survival of the human race while also dealing with some spiritual and religious themes…

I sometimes think about the people on Substack that gave me shit for leaving the site in 2023 because it platforms Nazis, saying I don't understand "free speech". I'm sure they're very surprised by what's currently happening.

I'm not the biggest Tom King fan. I found his Batman: Killing Time pretty tedious and I dropped off of his Wonder Woman run after like issue 10. But I'll be damned if THE HUMAN TARGET isn't one of the best (and thanks to Greg Smallwood also one of the most beautiful) books I've ever read.
