I'm kinda bummed out about how much overlooked PREDATORS generally are, when for me it's by far the best sequel in the whole franchise. This movie definitely deserves more love.

In a lot of ways, The Naked Gun series is very similar to the Die Hard series. The first one is great, the second one is good but retreads lots of the same ground, the third one is great (and maybe the best one?), the fourth one is better than it has any right to be, and the fifth one doesn't exist.

I was avoiding the new NAKED GUN for a long time because I was convinced that it will be bad. That the formula is so unique and delicate that they wouldn't possibly be able to successfully recreate it 30 years later. But they did. And it's fantastic. Faithful, yet fresh enough at the same time.

Nice movie reference in From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series. Let alone in a scene featuring Tom Savini.

I was 14 when I first saw Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2. Back then I didn't understand why Peter is loosing his abilities, I just thought he's turning into Man-Spider because that's what I remembered from the 90s cartoon. And now, after 22 years, it looks like I may finally see that in the new movie.

After Chris Pine's Poolman and Charlie Day's Fool's Paradise, Jonah Hill's Outcome looks like yet another existential dramedy passion project written and directed by a famous actor who has clearly poured their heart and soul into it, yet everybody else will tear it to shreds.

'As for Campbell, he has given some thought to his own end, too. “If it's over, I want my wife, Ida, to take me to Eastern Oregon, give me a bottle of water, a hat, and a joint, and leave me alone. I just go wander off into the Eastern Oregon desert,” Campbell says.'

As a fan of Nia DaCosta, I decided to watch THE MARVELS, even though she made it basically as a gun for hire and I've heard horrible things about it. And it's… absolutely fine. Weird how every other superhero movie can be made for 14 year old boys, but god forbid you make one for 14 year old girls.

Is Sam Raimi's The Gift the only movie where Keanu Reeves plays a straight up evil character? Because outside of Evil Ted in Bogus Journey, I really can't think of any other examples.

I didn't much care for Alan Wake. It felt too repetitive, too derivative, with its inspirations too blatantly on its sleeve. Alan Wake II, on the other hand, is one of the best god damn video games I've ever played.

Bruce Campbell might not be the best actor, but he's my favorite actor. And this is very hard to read. Though if he survived 50 years of being tortured by Sam Raimi, I'm sure he'll beat this thing's ass in no time.

I'd be more than OK with Ryan Coogler's The X-Files being its own thing. No Mulder/Scully cameo, no hints to the previous mythology, no revisiting of any of the old cases. Just keep all that in the past and preferably in its own universe.

I can't wrap my head around this premise. It feels to me as if Lee Chronin wanted to make another Evil Dead movie, this time about a kidnaped girl who gets possesed by Evil, but Sam Raimi said no, so he took it to Blumhouse where they slapped The Mummy IP on it...? But I guess we'll see.

Important update: Since this one quite unexpectedly became the object of interest for a few pitches I‘ll refrain from self-publishing it for now. There‘ll still be a comic campaign from me in May, but for a new horror anthology! Annoumcement February, Friday the 13th! Stay tuned!

Jonathan Frakes (William Riker) and Brent Spiner (Mr. Data) have a podcast. They talk about Star Trek often enough, but it's not really about Star Trek. It's just old guys talking about life, sharing stories and inviting guests (first one being LeVar Burton – Geordi La Forge). And it's kinda nice.

With two new Evil Dead movies coming out in the next couple of years, I really hope they'll stick to the anthology vibe allowing young directors to flex their skills, rather then trying to connect all the films together with Bruce Campbell's Ash rolling out of an Avengers portal in a wheelchair.

If you ever wanted to see Triangle of Sadness but with more crazy camera work, more slapstick horror gore, yet somehow with less (but not zero) projectile vomiting, then Sam Raimi's SEND HELP is the movie for you.

ALL HER FAULT is a soap opera for people that look down on soap operas. I enjoyed it, mainly for Sarah Snook's and Sophia Lillis' (who was the sole reason I watched it in the first place) performances, but the contrast between all the crazy twists and how seriously it took itself was quite jarring.

is the most unique movie novelization I can think of because it works not only as a novelization, but also as a prop replica from the movie itself. It's also a pretty fun read.
