This compilation from @ianrankin1.bsky.social arrived today. The sleeve notes are perfect. I used to ask my mum to get me stuff from Kirkcaldy Bruce's. Years later I met someone who worked there and he remembered my mum as the mysterious respectable lady who asked for the most obscure records.

Just finished the latest Louise Welsh novel. Every bit as good as her previous ones - she captures the dark & sinister underside of life so well. Stayed up far too late the past few nights as I didn't want to stop reading it.

The postie brought good things today. The pen is a Pelikano dragon pen to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The Dr John Cooper Clarke will be read aloud in my head in the correct style & accent. 'Those we look at with closed eyes' is "A hitherto unreported supposed history of The KLF"
