David Finlay and Hiromu vs Yuto Ice and Oskar was one of the best matches I saw this weekend. The Knock Out Bros. are a fascinating and fresh tandem, and I have not seen a more creative approach to the strange bedfellows tag team gimmick as what Finlay and Takahashi are doing. Well worth a look.

Catching up on last night’s Smackdown

I wasn’t going to make a scorecard for World Tag League, but some of those combinations got me real intrigued

The Full Gear card has so many matches that to me are so so hard to call. I’m not great with match predictions but I’ve usually got a fairly good sense of how matches are going to play out. So many of tonight’s bouts could go either way. Which makes it essential viewing in my book.

It will shock no-one to say this match holds up. A match that is rich with history from each men's career, a stand alone contest filled with innovated offense and drama, and a marker for where the company was going. All 4 men helped create the company, and this match helped MAKE the company.

Unpopular opinion: I’d give Dan Lambert another go in AEW
