So I got to set the game rules for battletech tonight, and choose to allow custom mechs... One guy, an absolute unit of bro to the Nth degree, brings all custom mechs, AND MODELS. CUSTOM MECH NIGHT RULES

In a fit of either insanity, OR clarity. I have been allowed to set the rules for tomorrow night's local battletech game. 3072 max year. 4 mech/vehicle max. 9000bv with fully upgradable pilots, 2 respawn tokens AND... custom mechs. The odds are not in my favor, but my death will be GLORIOUS!

Oh my, ok, lesson time for #mechwarrior players. "Spotting targets" This ONLY marks the target on the MAP, not the HUD, and ONLY a maximum of ONE target per mech. Spamming it does nothing as we can only see the last one you spotted. Missiles CANNOT lock on to a spotted target.

If you know, you know pop tastes better in one of these. Also, I can now take literal shots of nostalgia. Double points!

Ok so, FTR this is my third time playing no Man's Sky and once again, be Gek. Mathematically, best race. All PCs run at the same speed. But Gek are half the height. So they get double the pace to keep up. Plus, big increase to screen real estate for gameplay. Also cute.

One thing I am seeing games do, that needs to stop. Color confusion. I need a purple star, but I'm in a purple region of space. They are all purple because the base star colors are blue, and red. Then the background is purple. Turning everyone the exact same color.

Bit of advice for your next battletech game. If you're doing 1v1s in light mechs. Don't use a standard size map, grab a 1/2 or even a custom 1/4 one. Learn from our mistakes, we thought starting back to back would help. It did not.
