Wild Flower Watch: lots of flowers now, as well as two very tall stalks that have no flowers- more like young trees than flowers, however I still enjoy seeing the growth

Herself has a calendar in the kitchen for our days off, planned events etc. I recently added a few gigs I’m going to & she asked why I’d written in The Wedding Present a full month after our wedding anniversary 🤔 however, she was relieved to discover that, in November, I will not become a New Dad 😂

a beautiful sunny day today, went with the Mediterranean vibes this evening & did my twist on a ‘seafood paella’- took it up a notch by dining ‘al fresco’, or ‘having notions by eating in your back garden’, as it’s known in Galway 😅

I went for a leisurely Sunday morning stroll in Coole Park, Galway- a beautiful spot 😊 coffee & cake afterwards in nearby Gort 👌

Wild Flower Watch: another week of sun & rain seemed to have helped my pet project- I now have *several* flowers! blooming marvellous 😬

a minor foot injury means I’m off work for a few days- I’m following the doctor’s actual words of “sofa, TV, burgers & beer” 😬 I spoiled myself this morning with a homemade Moose Café-inspired hash potato with fried eggs, washed down with the mandatory pot of coffee 👌 #IDontDoCornflakes

Wild Flower Watch: a lot of rain this week & a lack of drainage resulted in the pots getting totally saturated- they’ve been drained & temporarily moved indoors to dry out- may need to repot to prevent it happening again

after the 'first dance' at our wedding, this was the next song I'd asked the DJ to play- apt lyrics, cracking tune, filled the dance floor immediately & set the tone for the rest of the night 🙌
