The KS1 Ambassadors also took part in a fun workshop and had a surprise visitor too! Mr McDonnell, MP for Hayes and Harlington came to the workshop and it was so nice for the Ambassadors to talk to him about the work of an MP and what we have been doing at school for the RRSA.

Our Year 1 children had a wonderful visit to Shree Jalaram Mandir today as part of their learning about places of worship. They explored the features of a mandir, including the murtis, prayer hall and arti area, and learned about Hindu traditions.

For #WorldEnvironmentDay, after reading Greta and the Giants and being inspired by her message 'No one is too small to make a difference' the Year 2 children wrote a persuasive letter about Climate Change to Rt Hon Mr John McDonnell MP for Hayes and Harlington. @johnmcdonnellmp.bsky.social

The Reception children enjoyed a visit from the Wonderdome, an immersive indoor planetarium. They explored the night sky and learned about the different planets in our solar system. They were all fascinated by the stars and constellations they discovered inside the dome.

Today the children explored real fish as part of our vertebrates topic. They carefully observed gills, fins, mouths, teeth and tails — such confident, curious learners. What a fantastic hands‑on lesson!

Year 1 took part in a Cricket Taster session where they had the chance to try a mini cricket game in a fun and engaging way. The children took part in batting and fielding just like a real game of cricket. The session encouraged them to try a new sport and enjoy being part of a team.

As part of Governors’ Day, some of the Rights Respecting Ambassadors gave a presentation to the Governors to explain their role in supporting the Rights Respecting Schools Award. The children spoke very confidently and passionately during the presentation.

The Rights Respecting Ambassadors went to Sainsburys in Lombardy Park to look for Fairtrade Food and compare the prices. Article 17 You have the right to get information that is important to your well-being. Article 32 If you work, you have the right to be safe and paid fairly.
