Thank you to everyone who attended this year's Winter Fayre helping raise money for the school. There was lots activities including a raffle, pin the nose on the reindeer, name the teddy, Tombola, lucky dip, guess the number of sweets in the jar, face painting and a penalty shootout.

Children enjoyed the Robin Hood panto at school! The panto followed the legend of Robin Hood and his band of Merry Men as they battled against the Sheriff of Nottingham to help the poor and needy. The children enjoyed joining in and helping find the villains of the story.

What fun some of the Reception children had performing their festive 'Songs for the Season' concert in Asda Supermarket. The children sang beautifully, spreading lots of festive cheer and raised a fantastic £82.00 in donations from members of the public. Thank you everyone #Asda

Year 1 had a fantastic visit to St Mary’s Virgin Church—the oldest building in Hayes! 🕍 Father Nicolas shared the Nativity and Christmas story, and the children explored the church’s features, asked brilliant questions, and learnt so much!

We have had our #RRSA Ambassador Elections! As well as learning about the democratic process, children were enjoying their right to: Article 12-You have the right to give your opinion, and for adults to listen and take it seriously. The voting was really close!

Our Year 1 children have been exploring their sense of smell today! They had lots of fun investigating mystery pots filled with mint, lemon, and coffee – guessing, describing, and comparing the scents. A wonderful way to engage their senses and spark curiosity!

Our Year 1 children have been learning all about their five senses this week! They especially loved exploring their sense of touch using feely bags – full of mystery and surprise! Some amazing vocabulary came out of the lesson, including bumpy, squishy, rough, and slimy!

In our end-of-year Celebration Assembly, a range of awards were given out to children for outstanding progress and achievement across the curriculum. Well done and congratulations to all the winners.

Our end-of-year Celebration Assembly, children who have achieved 100% attendance for the whole of the school year received a gold certificate and a book voucher for Waterstones. Well done to those children for trying so hard to come into school everyday.

Year 2 had an amazing time at their Graduation Ceremony. Today we reflected on how much the children have learnt at our school. .Thank you to parents and carers who came and supported their child. All of the teachers and staff from Minet Infants will miss the children dearly!

As we come to the end of another academic year, Mrs Vallijee would like to thank all the Ambassadors for their amazing hard work, campaigning for their own rights and those of others. We had a special assembly to award them certificates and celebrate the RRSA Award.

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 took part in Sports Day hosted at Botwell Green Leisure Centre. The children took part in many activities to show off their PE skills. They practised running, jumping, throwing, balancing and many more skills! What great sportsmanship!

The Secretary of State for Education The Rt Hon Bridget Phillipson visited our school. She had a tour of the school, spoke to children, meet Cyril our reading dog, saw a cooking group and visited the building works currently taking place for 2-year-old provision!

Thank you to Fresh water who took us on a wonderful time travel! In this workshop, our year 1 pupils explored the life and times of Neil Armstrong! By recreating the events of his moon landing, it was like they were actually there!

This week our Year 2 pupils took part in the first ever Hillingdon Bee. They were joined by 8 other school where their Geography knowledge and skills were put to the test! Well done to Minet who won the competition - it was very close! @gasigict.bsky.social

Our Year 2s had a workshop all about inspirational women as we begin our topic of 'Women Who Changed The World'. It was very interactive and the children loved acting out scenes and learning about females who have made big changes in history. We will be learning about some in detail this half term.

After reading Greta and the Giants and being inspired by her message 'No one is too small to make a difference' the Year 2 children wrote a letter about Climate Change to Rt Hon Mr John McDonnell @johnmcdonnellMP We were honoured to have Mr McDonnell visit the school!

In Year 1 for #WorldEnvironmentDay children were inspired by a school in Hackneys Clean Air campaign. @Ilikecleanair They decorated their own T-Shirts with Clean Air slogans.
