November BSKY #photochat A3: for my studio work I import all images into Adobe Lightroom and edit selected images in Adobe Photoshop (round trip). For all my scanned film negatives I import then in Lightroom as well to build a catalog. I sometimes crop / adjust lighting in LR but never use PS

November BSKY #photochat A2: Right now I have an "as-is" Minolta 7xi I purchased from @usedphotopro.com along with a few rolls of Kodak Gold 200 and bulk rolled Kentmere 400. This is one of the recently acquired Minolta SLRs that I'm playing around with. Hope to take it out again tomorrow

I'll start on this month's #photochat. A1: IMO I'm an "intentional" photographer both professionally & as a hobby. On my studio work I plan the details in advance including documentation, call sheets, mood boards, etc. On the film side I will select a subject, camera & film to go out with.

I know most film photographers that shoot Vision3 know this. But here’s the non-prebath removal process I use. Even when I use a prebath I physically wipe off the layer just in case

I’m not a huge follower of US college football, scores or rankings but I do try to see what’s going on. Here’s what I’ve learned. This is a topic that drives some people absolutely MAD! Debates on politics, religion & sexuality? College football debates says “hold my beer” 😳

Bloomington - Mamiya 6 with Lucky SHD400 in 120 developed in Df96. REFLX Labs sells SHD400 in 120. An interesting film in 120. At the beginning of both rolls there’s a light leak on the 1st 3-4 frames as on the 2nd photo. Probably occurred when initially rolled. The film was also a dust magnet.

More film photo scans this evening. Here’s one with the Dalai Lama. My youngest son was the tall dude on the far right. He took a few years of Tibetan studies at university becoming fairly fluent & therefore got to meet him during a visit to the USA.

Scanning some more film photos I took years ago I've had stored away. Here's the view of a portion of the Hong Kong skyline from my apartment. Probably 1994. Absolutely loved living in HK as an expat. Once in a lifetime experience.

Finally got my R hand surgery scheduled for next month. I ruptured a tendon in a finger last year & it's progressively gotten worse. The funny thing is that the hand surgeon has been saying it's an quick surgery (in & out). Now I find out it's actually 2 surgeries under general 😬 over 4+ months.

A friend of mine gifted me a Camp Snap toy digital camera this summer. Very, very basic digital point & shoot with no LCD. The only redeeming value is it's super light & basic. I decided to take it with me on a trail run because it's light & fit in my jacket pocket. Super grainy. Just for fun.

Now that cooler / colder weather is here Lola has a new sleeping bestie. We have an insulated fluffy donut with a grey pc of toweling in it. The towel is almost the same color as her fur so she almost disappears. She gives this arrangement 2 paws up!
