Continuing and finishing the New Pokémon Snap review today! Our photography skills may end up being used to solve several mythological mysteries in the Lentil region! And we get to take pictures of tons of adorable Pokémon, too! There's no downside!

I had a hunch that picking images for KH3D would be tricky, since part of the game allows a player to have both characters experience different chapters at the same time (however much sense that makes.) And one of the playthroughs I use for screenshots is slightly like that.

Ahh, the struggle of wanting to show as much gameplay as possible but also having to constantly add images from the cutscenes because there just. So. Much. Goddarn. Plot!

All five parts of the KH3D review have been spellchecked and edited! On to picking images. I've been kinda lazing about for this, I admit. I guess I just needed to slow down a little.

Just saw Backrooms. It was great. If indie horror can keep making movies like this, we'll be dining well no matter the direction big-budget horror takes. Honestly, Kane Parsons' movie is impressive, and I hope that's the start of a great film-making career (but not limited to Backrooms, please!).

I LOVE photography games, and the first Snap in particular, so when New Pokémon Snap was announced, I was overjoyed. The kind of game I KNEW I needed to own as soon as I had my Switch. Now that I've played it, did it match my expectations?

Part 3 done! Right on time as I was hoping to do! That leaves Parts 4 and 5 tomorrow, and picking screenshots in the weekend. (With a break to catch Backrooms in theaters somewhere in there!)

Quick question like that: Would you consider the TRON series to be video game movies, or just "computing" movies in general? I've stretched the definition of a video game movie before, by reviewing War Games as an example, so I actually *could* review TRON or Legacy someday. (but prob. not Ares.)

T'is the season of game announcements... I know I should probably pay more attention to all the games being announced, but... Well, I have a backlog big enough to last me 10 years, and I don't intend to add more to it anytime soon, so I don't feel like watching these will have much value to me.

I don't know if I'm actually going to finish writing my review of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance tonight, but I will try! The absolute best scenario would be to do that quick, then do the spellcheck and re-edit (since a lot of earlier parts will need corrections due to new knowledge).

I got my answer recently on that! Sig Gustafson (that's the name of the character in Naked Gun 2025) is played by Franco-Ontarian actor Kevin Durand. I bet he voiced himself for the French Canadian version, and leaned onto the accent to contrast hilariously with the film's International French.

I had an idea for my New Pokémon Snap titlecard that involved Pokémon appearing behind me as I snapped a picture towards the webcam, but I figured this might be a little too complicated to make for my level of skill. Finding decent Pokémon for the pic, in particular. Oh well! It happens.

Woo Part 1 of the New Pokémon nap review is almost all done and ready for Friday! I am happy. "Almost" because I still need a title card. Gonna do Part 2 tomorrow (all spellchecked/edited already, just gotta add images). Might do a bit of writing to finish the night.

I remember when King Gizzard had that turned on for their concerts livestreamed to YouTube, and the AI misunderstood all kinds of shit, made up song titles, and just wasn't the least bit reliable. I would bet the band kept it just because that garbage was funny. Viewers were trolling it too.

In slightly happier pop culture stuff for me, I had gotten a box set of Avatar: The Last Airbender for myself on Christmas 2024. I did not touch it for all of 2025. This year, I started watching it in January, 4 episodes a weekend, not every weekend. I am down to the last five episodes!

I didn't publish anything on Friday because I didn't have anything ready. However, these past days I've actually managed to complete both an itchio article and a Nintendo Classics article. I will probably publish them these two coming weeks, which should give me time to finish other games.

Finally won C+ at Balatro. All 15 decks, Gold Stake, finished. Maybe I can finally put that aside and focus on new games. ... *eyes C++ achievement........*

I am prone to mistakes, especially those made too quickly. And I am also resentful. I keep grudges. This also happens towards myself, especially when I make mistakes that my mind thinks bigger than they are. This is a dangerous, anxiety-inducing combination.

No new article today. Sorry about that! However, I did make great progress on all the ongoing reviews this week. If I don't have a full-on proper review ready for next week, then at the least I will have either one itchio or Nintendo Classics article.

I've been making great progress on several articles these past few days; can't promise to publish one on Friday (it will probably be another Gaming Memories instead), but I will try to have some full stuff ready in time for the week after that. KH3D? I hope to publish about that in June.

I don't think I leave a lot of games unfinished... but the sheer number of games in my collection, that I've yet to play... same feeling. If I played roughly 3h every day (assuming, of course, I don't add any more games), I would be done in 10 years. ­@.@

I didn't think that would happen, but writing about New Pokémon Snap got me to use comedic expressions I never thought would be used on my blog. I mean, the joke is a reference to something else, but it's also fitting so perfectly with the situation, I couldn't not use it.

It's hilarious how Balatro can go sometimes. After days and days of failures with the Plasma Deck, tonight I was handed an extremely easy Gold Stake victory. Wee Chad Hack, and enough tarots to transform cards into 2s. Oh, and a Brainstorm to double its chips, which ended at 1768.

I'm playing through a handful of lengthy games and needed something to fill time. Well! I'm still playing through my large itch.io collection, beating super-short games, and reporting on my experiences. Another 20 games today! That's not even 2% of the number of games I have yet to cover from there.

Well, it finally happened. On my way home from work, on the short drive on the highway, the car behind mine was the only (AFAIK) only Cybertruck in my city. These things are uglier in person than in pictures, and all the jokes are correct that it looks like a SNES 3D car that didn't render right.

OH SHIT I DID IT! This is not a drill! Planned All Along has officially hit 2M views! ...about 2 days ago. ...What? I wasn't keeping an obsessive eye on it. I have a life outside of this hobby too! But yeah, I am pretty happy. Took 11 years for the first mil. Now, the road to 3 million views!

I have now acquired everything of Angine de Poitrine, as well as nearly 40 live tracks from bootleg gizzard. AdeP isn't that bad so far, it's just 12 tracks and about 68-ish minutes. This could still fit on just one CD. (Also, Vol. 1 is proof of concept; Vol. II is where they really kick off!)

No new articles today, sorry! I just don't have anything ready at the moment. That said, I am preparing for future stuff!
