🚨🚨 Huge news for Cornwall! After months of pressing Ministers, the Government has offered a bespoke devolution deal that respects our national minority status, with NO joint authority with Devon - and hopefully no requirement for a directly elected mayor.

🚨🚨 FUNDING SECURED FOR CORNWALL GROWTH FUND ✅ I am pleased that the Chancellor has finally listened to our demands and has just announced a £30 million ‘Kernow Industrial Growth Fund’ in her Budget.

🚜 Tomorrow’s Budget is make-or-break for Cornwall’s farmers, and the Chancellor has one last chance to do the right thing. I’ve been lobbying Treasury Ministers for months to scrap the proposed Family Farm Tax, which would hit genuine working farms hard.

🚨🏦 I’ve spent months now lobbying the Government to make sure Cornwall receives its fair share of funding in the Budget this week. Cornwall NEEDS the proper investment to unleash its full potential.

🚨🚨 TREASURY MEETING / CORNWALL FUNDING UPDATE After agreeing to the meeting during my question in the House, I met with the Chief Secretary to the Treasury alongside other Cornish MPs to demand clarity on what happens when the Shared Prosperity Fund ends in March. ⏳

🚨 POLICE AND CRIME COMMISSIONERS TO BE SCRAPPED! The Government have announced today that Police & Crime Commissioners are being scrapped - something I, and the Liberal Democrats, have been demanding for years.👇

🚨 🚨 I spoke in Parliament in support of #RyansLaw, a campaign by the Saltern family who live here in North Cornwall, after they lost their son Ryan in a hit-and-run tragedy. It was a privilege to speak up on their behalf in the House.

🚨 🗳️ The ECHR has helped deliver justice for Hillsborough families, protected those in care, and more. When British troops died in Iraq because of poor equipment, the ECHR was the reason people were head accountable. Now, Nigel Farage wants to tear it up...

⛪️ MUSEUM FUNDING IN CORNWALL: We can't be left out! 🚨 Cornwall’s museums bring so much educational, historical, and community value to our towns. But too many (like Bodmin Keep - Cornwall's Army Museum) are really struggling to survive at the moment. 👇👇

🏘️ There are many towns and villages in North Cornwall that are in desperate need of regeneration and renewal. Some of these are among the most deprived in the country - yet not a single town in Cornwall was chosen to receive any of the Government’s ‘Pride in Place’ funding. 👇

🔶 The North Cornwall Liberal Democrats had a great AGM over the weekend, where we reflected back over some of our major campaign wins these last 12 months. Digital ID was a huge topic, and I was pleased to see our local party rally against the Government's dangerous plan.

🏡 When it comes to Cornwall's housing, we need INFRASTRUCTURE FIRST and PROFITS SECOND. Too many of my constituents have been stung by dodgy developers, who've gone bust and left entire developments - and communities - without the promised sewage or road works.

📉 Despite having some of the most deprived areas of the country, Cornwall will not receive a single penny of the Government's £5 BILLION 'Pride in Place' funding. 👇 👇 👇
