Two friends who I met in the writing community on Twitter ended up falling in love and are getting married next month. I am beyond thrilled for them! I was there at the beginning to see it all play out. I know they understand why I won’t travel to the U.S. right now. (Safety). But I’ll be dancing.❤️

I thought today was the 21st. Sigh. Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary yesterday to two of my favourite people in the world. My brother scored big time when he met the kindest person we have all ever met. As for my brother, his wiseass outdoes my wiseass, I’ll freely admit it.😂 Love you, both.❤️❤️

As an author, if you’re looking to sell/promote books, the things I’ve noticed working (for others) is accidentally going viral in some way, either with a TikTok or some event in your life that gets noticed, having a table at a big book event, or being chosen for a BookBub promotion.

When we went to NYC, we both commented how surprising it was that we had such a clear view of the UN when you consider the VIP’s who meet here. We both thought it was a movie scene waiting to happen.

I watched the B25 Mitchell fly overhead yesterday. I’ll often see one of the final two remaining Avro Lancasters doing their flybys, too. It always makes me imagine what it must have been like during WWII when multiple squadrons would go roaring through the sky.

My mother-in-law used to use something that resembled a machete to chop a rutabaga open. But I know me. It would slip, cut off my hand, ricochet and I would decapitate myself. Why I buy the pre-chopped stuff.

I told you I always spill on myself. This time it’s laundry detergent. Expedience.😂

My husband had to deal with some condescending customer service this past week. He called me, fuming, and said, “Don’t worry. I Sheila-fied them.” “Umm… I’m afraid to ask what that means.” “I put on a megawatt smile and killed them with kindness.” But never doubt, I’m ready to rumble.

How do you define hate speech? I define it as words that promote racism, bigotry, hatred towards a religion, etc. Wiseass, comedic speech isn’t hate speech. It’s there to point it out. I would have to cancel myself. I’ll say it again. The world is upside down. I believe in free speech.

I was sitting beside two couples that were a touch snobby at a restaurant last night with my daughter. We were packing our leftovers when one of the knives went flying under their table. Three of them looked aghast that such a thing could happen. I smiled. “You should see what I can do with an axe.”
