OK, Death Stranding 2 is incredible.

Against my better judgment today, I took a handful of PS5 games to GameStop to trade in. I got around $25 for all of it. The manager talked me into getting a Pro membership with my credit specifically so I could get a 5% discount on steam cards online.

Death Stranding 2 will be the last game on my PS5 backlog that I still intend to play. I had Star Warses: Jedi Survivor and Outlaws on PS5, but I've purchased them on Steam and Switch 2 respectively. Steam Machine can't come soon enough.

In my Grand Project to finish 8 games on my backlog before buying anything new in 2026, I decided to officially DNF Octopath Traveler 0 and still count it. I put 35 hours in, and that's good. And who knows, maybe I'll revisit it down the road.

I like this game, but I'm like 40 hours in and potentially looking at another 60 to finish. I don't think I can do it. I think I'm very near formally bouncing off it and moving on. If you love a 100 hour JRPG, this is a great one for you. I don't think it's for me any longer.

Octopath Traveller 0 is a fantastic game that overstays its welcome by 300%.

Well, I didn't get into Des Moines Con. I'm a little disappointed, and also frustrated that it took them so long to figure out the confirmed vendors. That means that my only remaining appearances in 2026 are Comic Con Nebraska this August, and SiouxperCon this September.

that's credits on resident evil remake hd remaster (what a title) once you get the tank control muscle memory, this really does hold up as a great game. the prerendered cutscenes are really jarring, as the in-engine stuff looks wonderful but the cutscenes look distinctly 2002.

i put about 5 or so hours into Requiem today. It's basically perfect.

resident evil is the best video game franchise of all time and i won't be taking any questions at this time.

about 90 minutes into requiem and this is basically exactly what i wanted, and exactly what i love about this franchise. i also took the day off work to play metroid prime 4 at launched, but was fundamentally so underwhelmed i barely touched it that day.

Someday soon there will be one streaming service that costs 499.99 per month.

Just won a tense game of Final Girl: Madness in the Dark. I may not be that into board games anymore, but Final Girl is really really fun.
