What film most reminds you of your childhood?

ARE YOU MY FIRST? is some kinda next level. A cast of adult virgins competing for… I’m still not sure. It’s awkward and formulaic and trashy and I can’t look away. Damn you reality tv.

Ivan Reitman really went back to back to back directing bangers with MEATBALLS to STRIPES to GHOSTBUSTERS. That’s that Bill Murray shine.

THE SURFER gives plenty of scenery for Nic Cage to grit and chew. A solid performance from Julian McMahon that amps up the surreal action. It’s almost a sun baked UNCUT GEMS in terms of anxiety inducing storytelling.

MEGAN 2.0 is some glossy, trashy fun. Delivers on being the T2 of bubblegum cinema and I’m here for it.

BRING HER BACK is a valiant effort of new horror in an era of reboots and remakes. Worth your attention especially if you dig TALK TO ME.

In this age of streaming, I miss the days of “Too Hot for TV” videotapes you had to buy to see uncensored content.

I wanna see Shane Gillis in a horror flick lead.

ASH from Flying Lotus is a fun watch of cosmic space horror. Ooey, gooey and filled with some solid set pieces.

I feel like SINNERS is a horror movie the way FRIED GREEN TOMATOES is a horror movie.

DETROITERS deserved a third season.

I appreciate how important hand grenades are in both the John Wick spin-off BALLERINA and Wes Anderson’s THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME.

I LIKE MOVIES is endearing and frustrating in all the ways you’d expect life to come at a filmmaker on the spectrum. A solid little love letter to cinephiles coming of age.

I need season 3 of Tires like I need to wear a wig to work.

DANGEROUSLY CLOSE has such a odd and dynamic cast and soundtrack. This is Albert Pyun like you normally don’t get to see.

Life lessons from each season of White Lotus: Season 1 - Only users lose drugs. Season 2 - Always pay sex workers promptly in full. Season 3 - Happiness is a warm gun.

If you’re a fan of the series SLASHER, toss on HORROR MOTEL. So many of the same folks it feels like we never made the jump to something new.

THE LAST SHOWGIRL feels a lot like THE WRESTLER. A life committed and possibly wasted for the sake of entertainment, fueled by unrelenting passion and life’s ups & downs. Weird to see Bautista with so much hair.

THE UGLY STEPSISTER has some solid gross out moments and I dig the new spin on Cinderella.

THE MONKEY gives me mixed feelings, some fantastic kills and gnarly storytelling, to feel tripped up by the hurdle of the third act.

I wish I had better things to say about the movie FRIENDSHIP. It has so many elements to succeed but falls so very flat with not much to say for itself.

Tonight’s the World Premiere of Meat and to a completely sold out crowd!

Season one of The White Lotus done and half way through season two. Why couldn’t I have been born rich instead of *flails arms* this..?

WE KILL FOR LOVE is a worthy watch; long but thorough. Certainly makes me yearn for the days of renting erotic thrillers on vhs.

Finally started watching White Lotus. You caucasians can calm down til I’m done.

Making manicotti for wifey. Im funny, have a wicked movie collection and can cook. I go from a 2 to a 3 real quick.

Gimme a remake of COPPERHEAD. It’s too bonkers to not lie their like a dead snake.

Finished THE STUDIO, it very much like if Albert Brooks did his version of ARLISS. It works best when it fully leans into the inside baseball of it all like “The Oner” episode to embrace actual moviemaking mechanics.

Watch PBS and listen to NPR. It’s now a civic duty.
