I just had an epiphany about a 4th-age sequel to this where Sauron (re-embodied) as our lovely red-headed Mairon, escapes the Halls of Mandos and hunts Galadriel down because he wants revenge... or closure... or to kiss her again. Probably all three. He gonna dominate.

Haladriel brainrot thought of the day: If Sauron had taken Galadriel back to the log instead of the raft, would she have said yes? Or at least found it harder to reject him? What would their 'future' have looked like in that place...
