So overall, I’m genuinely enjoying growing older. Con: back-to-back workouts take too long to recover from, so i have to space them out Pro: *totally* comfortable walking over to the window, saying “bah!” while flapping my hands at the weather, and settling back in on the couch

IMO, the opposite of fascism is the pursuit of any creative endeavor. There isn’t a lot I can do to fight very powerful enemies. But they hate it when we express our own thoughts and feelings. Sometimes it feels weird to keep at the music and the writing. But I won’t quit. My art is my rebellion.

Final draft of The Thornback Witch is done. Writing this book has been such a process of catharsis for me. It’s a story of isolation, distant grief, disconnected reality, mental instability. It’s been interesting getting to know the protagonist. I hope other people like her too.
