Kinda disappointed that dungeons and dragons didn't ignore their entire consumer base and adopt a live service model. As much as a horrible precedent it would set. Getting regular balance and content updates might have kept me as a loyal customer. And I know that's wrong.

I'm having trouble being able to get some medicine. Please take a look at my art and consider throwing some cash at me with a picture idea with it. I'm working through stuff fast as I can, and getting my hardware to cooperate. Quoted thread has a bunch of art to check out. Thank you for looking.

I've got to make sheets for crafting now don't I? For easy bookkeeping, yeah that's going to be essential.

Im struggling to earn some money for my actual artstyle and I have yet to create a sheet for yonkagor style for comms, but either way I need some help to actually make some money for my current living so any small donate/tips would help! I'll have my Kofi link below the post! (1/?)

They look kinda like sandstone. I made them out of clay. The fire was a bit too hot and burned away all the copper carbonate but the color of the fire was very cool.

I made a new update! for item qualities so items can be made better than standard quality. it's going to need plenty of work to finish this but I want to keep updates semi-regular so I don't end up taking a year away again. so, I guess sorry for the half update?

I got an app that counts my keystrokes for writing. And every thousand keystrokes I get a hat for the cat it puts on screen. Today I got 7 hats. Unfortunately it does not detect what key is pressed so it counts backspaces and shift key, and others.

Question about item progression. 1. Item is better based on money put into item. (materials, inlays, stone setting, ect.) 2. Item is better based on ticking boxes (item is made from good material?, is item stone set?, ect.) I started option 1 but am thinking option 2 might be where it's at.

I pushed a small update to make the game more cohesive? Changed some crafting stuff and word choices. Addressed some typos. Bigger crafting changes coming that will facilitate progression and make materials matter more.

Also, I don't think I'll release the game I'm working on currently. Even though I'm sure there is an audience for it, it's too personal to me. I put a lot of my experience of grief into the story so far. I'm not even sure I'll name it.

So I guess I don't need the core rules to be simple for my partner anymore. I'll leave mana tales of dragons core rules alone for those who like that kind of osr but not at all style but I'll make tales of heroes or 'mana advanced rules' for a more traditional

I knew my cooking system was in need of a rework. Honestly a few parts of crafting in general too. But I realized how to fix cooking and I just need to make ingredients designed for cooking. Which may sound obvious, but I didn't think of it till now.

Oh alchemy update. No retcons necessary, the cycle of creation and destruction of the elements still works. The change is clarifying. Light and dark directly create and destroy each other. And are not influenced by other elements directly but instead disrupted by the elemental cycles.

I know it's been done to death but I have to put biblical themes related to the darker parts of the Bible in my next game. Also a bit of heresy. Don't worry it's not uninspired there will be two stories at work at the same time I'm taking this seriously as a personal project.

Why did valentinian Christianity fall out of favor? It makes too much sense. Though honestly it's weird with the separation of old god and new god. I personally see the change as character growth rather than that. But the change is sudden enough that it's a logical conclusion.

Why can't commissioning an artist be like commissioning a chef? Can I please order the "what you recommend"? I'm not qualified as an artist since I make abstract pieces, but a commission would feel in-authentic if it had too much oversight or too many restrictions by someone else.

it's been a long enough break that I should get back to writing for my game. I'm going to start with writing for a solo dungeon crawler to get me back into it. it's going to be mechanically a lot closer to my original concept for mana.

in Gebers alchemical theory it was believed that everything was made up of different amounts of the four elements (water, earth, fire, air). but that metals specifically were made up of different amounts and forms of sulfur and mercury.

I'm reading the fearun setting guide for d&d 3e. the way it's organized is somewhat confusing but I didn't realize a setting guide was utility and not just a fiction dump (makes sense why people like them now). that does mean I can make clear goals for myself in writing a setting guide.

I'm going to make a setting guide since that feels necessary. I'm going for largely western fantasy but without Nordic or Christian influence and a focus on western alchemy. Though the Chinese influence is going to be clear with what is effectively qi and mastery of the self being central themes.

I should continue writing. my game is missing a little bit here and there. it's functionally complete though. just having nobody to play it with and my general attitude of melancholy is a bit of a hindrance. still it'd be a shame if years of my life are wasted on something I didn't finish.
