I’ve watched ALOT of wrestling this weekend, which will culminate in @aewontv.bsky.social Forbidden Door Being a wrestling fan for some 40 years, we are in a definite high period for the UK scene not seen since the 80’s in my opinion

One of the biggest things for me next week is going back to BJJ. Been a little over two and a half years so whether this overweight purple belt can still do it is anyone’s guess! The club I’m going to is high level so wish me luck 🍀

Been very quiet on here recently as personal issues have taken their toll on my mental health. That being said I still get up and put one foot in front of the other. Holidays meant I’ve missed two weeks of karate and I’ll miss another due to a few events. That’s life I suppose

Great session tonight, albeit a little “scorchio!”. Went through things at a fairly slow pace for the kids who were not enjoying the heat. Holding sumo stance was a bit harsh 😂

Last nights double class was great! As there were a lot of higher grades in the second class we covered two stances moving forward; Sanchin dachi and neko ashi dachi. We also had a go at Saifa (learnt the first six moves of this the day before), then Bassai-dai which blew my mind! #gkrkarate

Monday and Thursdays classes were intense and focused which I absolutely loved! Repetition of moves is the mother of all learning 👊🏻 Grading next Sunday #gkrkarate

Hands down one of my favourite authors! @scottsigler.bsky.social combines sci-fi, action, drama and horror with such style 👏🏻

Nice to do a little self defence practical application in class yesterday. Some slight differences to how I used to teach it in #bjj but nothing drastic as these skills apply EVERYWHERE #gkrkarate
