This month's LoopdeLoop theme "Garden" is done. First bit of stop motion I've done for many years and it won't be the last. I had so much fun with this :) I'll do another post with a bit of a behind the scenes at some stage.

Throwback Thursday to this older piece "On a Distant Alien Shore". I aimed for a 70s scifi book cover vibe and used fractals and a heightmap to create the "plants" before compositing and painting in Procreate. This is a combo of art, maths and imagination, my happy place.

Throwback Thursday to a couple of pixel art demos from workshops. Cyberpunk and Fantasy hero self portraits at different resolutions and designs, with a bonus villain and his dragon friend thrown in :)

"Scouts" Still plenty of post production to come, but I'm really happy with where I got to today. All created in Nomad Sculpt and printed on my Elegoo Centauri Carbon. Onto some sanding and filling and then some fun paints tomorrow. :)

Throwback Thursday to my original murder jelly :) Also, whether you are arting, gaming, reading or studying, always take the time to stretch, refocus your eyes and check the environment around you... the chances of a Gelatinous Cube attack are low, but never zero.

A couple of last minute tweaks and a looped version because social media hates looping because it wants to feed you more videos. Here is my final LoopdeLoop animation for the August "Home" theme. Hope you enjoyed seeing some of the process, I'm haooy to ask any questions in the comments :)

My Troll Predators are done for the upcoming Troll Salon exhibition, presented by This is Not a Toy Store and Weird Kid Club . The Troll Dolls have always creeped me out but customising it has been a really fun process. I've seen some of the other customs and it's going to be an amazing show!

Managed to get some pretty good transparent prints of the soy sauce bottles I designed for my Cthulhushi designs. Getting close to be able to go into low number production of different resin colours but also some detailed hand painted one offs :)

Tonight's wind down is a fun test of getting a 16bit style pixel art D&D Mimic chest animation. Simply a 3d morph between two layers in Nomad Sculpt with a pixel art post production effect.

Quick test for iPad based stylised fire workflow. Five minutes of animation in Loom (an app that live records pen strokes) and then some tweaking in Final Cut. About ten minutes workflow, with lots of possibilities. Always be playing :)

Doing fan art of your favorite pop culture property is fun for sure, but you know what is even more fun... doing fan art of the amazing work of your students so they have some cute dioramas to put on the stand. Come and see "Attached" in the Indie Games Room at AVCON.

Next phase of the BASILISK diorama. I need to get some of the interior lights working but I've managed to wrangle UE5 into giving me a front and side render of the space battle and then mapped it onto an old phone and a old tablet to give a dimensional background.🙂

Getting ready to pack up this weird little collection as case studies for a presentation on 3d fabrication. While I do make a lot of stuff for fun, it's interesting to see how many of these pieces were R&D and material tests, an indication of how I use a project based research workflow a lot.
