I was able to combine rigid body dynamics with bones in a way that allows me to easily change between bone animation (with and without jiggle) and full rigid body animation. Now I only need to make a script to do the setup

It took some time but I finally got this smooth step system working. It generates a smooth motion between two points as fast as possible while keeping the maximum velicity and acceleration under given targets.
