Playing Animal Crossing for the first time in years. It’s obvious what a sequel needs. 1) Better interactions with animal neighbors. 2) Tons of mini-games to play with friends. Let me actually play pinball with them or whatever.

EEPHUS 100 minutes of middle aged dudes busting each other’s balls while they play the last game of baseball they’ll ever play. Very funny, but I went from chuckling to nearly bursting into tears multiple times. A movie about community, rituals, and friendship, and how it all slips away.

Movie 139 of 2025: ROUNDERS Just one of my favorite movies ever. And the poker is so realistic. That opening hand where Damon loses his stack, that has happened to me multiple times. You gotta play the full house and pray it’s the only full house. Just incredible.

Watching 60 Minutes, and they’ve done three stories in a row on booze.

The poker in Red Dead Redemption is seriously worse odds than real life. It’s bad poker, or I’ve just had two ridiculously fruitless games. Never even a chance of flush or fucking anything. Pairs are rare.

After getting back into it after all these years, I mean this kind of sincerely. It’s like taking a Xanax.

Movie 138 of 2025: BUGONIA I have the same problem with the end of this movie as I had with EDDINGTON. It feels irresponsible. That said, up until then it’s great. The verbal sparring and battle of wits between Stone and Plemons is gripping and better than I expected.

Movie 137 of 2025: UNCUT GEMS Last half hour of this is still thrilling even when you know what’s going to happen.

Movie 136 of 2025: BETTER WATCH OUT Love how this goes from a standard Christmas horror/home invasion movie to like Funny Games with a sociopathic 13 year old. There was a similar young actor performance this year in Adolescence, and everybody loved it.

Got Red Dead Redemption on Switch 2 cause it was on sale, and I love walking very slowly and being bored.

Movie 135 of 2025: NUREMBERG There’s something kinda off about this movie. It feels a bit stiff and detached, and Rami Malek as the lead feels like a mistake. It doesn’t even really make sense why the movie is about this character until near the end. That said, pretty good!
