Plenty to figure out how everything fits together for Miami, clearly, but questions as to how their system would look over time and against elite defenses predate Herro's return, and all three losses he's been on the court for were against Top 7 defenses (missed the ORL/SAC b2b).

Orlando has been a tough matchup for Miami's offense, but the oddest part of that one was how many open threes the Heat missed and how many tough twos they made.

Heat will need to find some makes, they're down to 28 percent from three and most looks inside the arc have been hard-earned, but good time to note that Orlando's prevent offense struggled quite a bit less than a week ago.

Heat's Offensive Rating was, literally, 180+ through the first few minutes. Down to 108.3.

On one hand, Miami's offense slowed significantly after that initial burst and this was back to looking more like how the Magic matchups have looked. On the other hand, Orlando's shot quality started poor and never really improved.

This is pretty much how Miami began 90 percent of their games through the first three weeks.

Considering Sacramento had very little ball movement on most of his makes, LaVine just put on one of the more impressive one-half shooting displays I've seen in awhile. But for Miami, this has had a pickup-game quality not previously associated with their warp-speed style.

Zach LaVine being up to 24 points on 11 shots, mostly jumpers, is one thing, but Kings are also 12-of-14 at the rim while Heat have only taken five shots there.

This may sound counter-intuitive, but in terms of possession efficiency and league rankings, the Heat are actually scoring better in the halfcourt than in transition. That's olstered by 39 3pt%. Their transition has been more about volume (No. 3) than efficiency (No. 19).

Heat Offensive Rating vs. Top 10 Def: 109.7 (No. 20, 2-3) Middle 10 Def: 117.9 (No. 11, 6-5) Bottom 10 Def: 124.1 (No. 6, 6-0) Sample size is so small it doesn't mean much for now, but this is the kind of data point we'll have to track all year.

Ty Lue has pulled his entire starting lineup with over 10 minutes to go in the third.

This is mostly a percentages game, Miami shooting 57/70 while Clippers are 30/15, but Heat have also simply been playing at an entirely different speed all half.

The Heat have 59 points with 3:36 to play in the 2nd Q, and according to official play-by-play they have zero makes in the restricted area. They're 11-of-16 from three, while Clippers hold 24-16 advantage in the paint.

Heat were hitting threes, Clippers starters kept it close. Heat kept hitting threes, Clippers' offense went completely dry with the bench unit in.
