Video of the Week: Verse Metrics – ‘Sea Fairies (We’re Not Alone In This Lake)’ The term "long-awaited" is a tad overused, but applies perfectly to the forthcoming album from Glasgow act Verse Metrics. Although the five-piece have been together since 2009, 'Descents' will be the band's debut long-player, their catalogue until now a sporadic mix of EPs and singles (including a "mini-revelation" of a debut EP in 'VM1' and the "absolutely brilliant" single 'Sleep & Wakefulness'. The band - Robert Dick (vocals/guitar), Alan Conway (guitar), Kevin O’Hagan (bass), Chris Mackinnon (keys), and Pete Colquhoun (drums) - recorded the eleven tracks with Jamie Savage at Chem19 Studios, with the album being mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music. http://www.isthismusic.com/video-of-the-week-verse-metrics-sea-fairies-were-not-alone-in-this-lake
