(Mini-thread) I think the big element that makes makes discussion of games as art so frustrating is people can’t wrap their heads around the fact that the majority of video games are art AND products simultaneously, and being a product doesn’t INHERENTLY diminish it as art

So it sounds like Retro didn’t get to build Prime 4 from the ground up and had to rework a good amount of the scrapped build That explains a lot of the game’s clunky elements and gives me hope for Prime 5 cause now they’ll be able to start from ground zero with their own vision
