We know at the very least it is a textbook ethnic cleansing. If credible independent organizations and the United Nations are calling it “genocide” I believe we have to take that seriously. America cannot be complicit in these crimes against humanity.

Voters at the Labor Day protest in Kent want Republicans to stop rubber-stamping Trump’s extreme agenda. People remember the shootings when the National Guard was used against students at Kent State, and they don’t want to see the National Guard used against civilians again.

Visited the #LaborDay protest by the 100-foot flagpole outside the Portage County Courthouse in Ravenna. People are angry and want a fighter to hold our government accountable.

This story about the government silencing whistleblowers makes me sad because I found myself not reacting much. And then it hit me - we are becoming numb to the punitive actions of the Republican Party.  We must push back, we have no choice.

I worked a lot of different jobs to get by before I found my path as a software developer. Finding a secure job is harder than it used to be. Every worker in Ohio deserves to earn a living wage, and workers deserve to collectively bargain to protect their rights.

Cash bail pisses me off. It is destroying peoples' lives. Just like how driving violations can spiral out of control—traffic tickets for hundreds or thousands of dollars mean nothing to the well-off, but they can stop workers from driving to their jobs.

Gerrymandering is absolutely disgusting, disgraceful, and weak. Both parties have used gerrymandering to rig elections because they can't stand on their own feet. Gerrymandering is election theft, and it shouldn't be allowed.

Today I went to Akron Pride. Members of the LGBTQ+ community were upbeat and felt supported by the strong turnout. They’ve felt scapegoated by Republicans who demonize them while trying to roll back equal rights like marriage. Why not just let people live their lives?
