Wandering —- the cape of dust following at his heels.

I think of my 𝙁𝘼𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙍. And all that he thought me —- the mornings we would wait for Krypton’s 𝙍𝙀𝘿 𝙎𝙐𝙉 to rise and bring forth light. But he’s 𝙂𝙊𝙉𝙀 now —- and this sun on Earth needs my help to 𝙍𝙄𝙎𝙀.

He doesn’t understand. Their 𝙍𝘼𝙂𝙀 and 𝙋𝙊𝙎𝙎𝙀𝙎𝙎𝙄𝙊𝙉. Like hers —- this 𝘼𝙂𝙀𝙉𝙏 𝙇𝘼𝙉𝙀. She holsters regret that he can almost 𝙁𝙀𝙀𝙇.

It is not lost on him that he’s being tracked —- 𝙇𝘼𝙕𝘼𝙍𝙐𝙎, 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙊𝙈𝙀𝙂𝘼 𝙈𝙀𝙉. But this stranger. .one that feels like him. 𝙇𝙊𝙎𝙏 in a world of unknown 𝙋𝙊𝙒𝙀𝙍. Part of him wants to reach out —- part of him doesn’t 𝙏𝙍𝙐𝙎𝙏 them at all.

This is the story of Jo Mullein. Who reached a hand into a cosmic furnace of knowledge, not for knowledge's sake, but to pull free her friends. It begins with the immediate outcome: a town destroyed, its populace assimilated. a man possessed by pure darkness, and a violent draft into universal war.
