An incredible view from the roof at University College London last month! FSF did routine maintenance on our Cimel Sun-Sky-Lunar photometer and AirYX 2D MAX-DOAS, which measure atmospheric aerosols and trace gases.

FSF has been on fieldwork maintaining several of our long-term deployed atmospheric instruments. Pictured here at the National Physics Laboratory is the dismantling of the waterproof enclosure for a Bruker EM27/SUN, a FTIR spectrometer used to analyse atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations.

The NERC FSF team recently visited with Penny Clarke and Hannah Cubaynes from the British Antarctic Survey to support the "Cetacean strandings from space" project. Penny has been taking reflectance spectra at strandings to improve detection of these events from space.
