I celebrated World Book Day with pupils from primaries 1 to 4 of Stockbridge Primary School in Edinburgh. After reading from The Fairy in the Kettle, I gave my creative writing lesson on creating engaging characters. The children then created their own fantastically brilliant & unique characters.

🌟 I was honoured to be invited to adjudicate this year's Scottish Association of Writers competition for writing for the Under 7s. I'll be emailing the results later this week. 🌟 I've also been invited to give a workshop at the Scottish Association of Writers annual conference later this month.

I was recently on a writing retreat with members of the EU/UK chapter of @sincnational.bsky.social Gladstone Library in North Wales has set the bar high. I can't imagine us topping it for next year.
