Sad to see that the #SavisWarbler has probably left us. After a frantic weekend of reports & visits to X & Bluesky, it seems we have more interaction via Bluesky than X. Is this a change in users preference? Are others using X less? #socialmedia #X #bluesky

Another busy day at reserve #SavisWarbler again we urge all visitors to respect neighbours, #Otmoor lane is very narrow with limited passing places. Park in marked areas, very limited parking. Pay for parking 😊. Keep the damage to banks to absolute minimum. Thank you. Enjoy.

Uber important. We do have signs up on the banks asking visitors not to stand or go on the banks as it can disturb wildlife. However we can’t police it 24/7 & don’t want to be killjoys. So, keep the damage & disruption to the absolute minimum. Thanks you. #SevisWarbler

Parking is also limited. So please be patient. Don’t block people in, keep gates clear. Do not park on the verges. Thanks.

@OxfordshireCC we believe the road heading to the reserve has been reported for potholes before? Otmoor lane is becoming more dangerous by the day, especially the middle section which is heavily distorted & riddled with potholes. Another report will be made to @fixmystreet

The reserve has been busy over the winter. Better viewing points. Will promote new growth which will encourage more insects. #Otmoor #Coppicing #Wildlife

Over the months we’ve had several reports of #Waterail being heard with their distinctive pig like calls. Has anyone seen one mooching in the reedbeds or elsewhere? We see lots of photos of wildfowl, warblers etc, but can’t remember seeing these illusive birds? Any pictures from the reserve?

It’s within the next few weeks that the reserve come into its own. We say goodbye to the over wintering birds & a hello to influx of #Warblers #Cuckoos a cacophony of noise from the waders & geese. The booming #Bitterns the calling #Cranes & many others that make our reserve special.
