I am more in the mood for a cosy game…yet also have started Celeste because I’m apparently a glutton for platforming punishment. I’m bad at this, but going one screen to the next is addictive… (Also, I have a point to prove to that lady at the bottom, and Madeline’s Part of Me💪🤣)

Playing them back-to-back it is striking just how similar Tales of Symphonia is to Vesperia. I was expecting similar stories in a broad sense not….specifics! 😂That said, I am enjoying Symphonia in its own right, though at times I wish Collette got more development outside of ‘Chosen’ and ‘Lloyd’.

I rather like the Nintendo Store app allowing me to see activity across consoles, and filtering wish list by sale price. As for the former…unsurprising:

#ABZÛ Just finished this beautiful game, and immediately had to look up any other games by the same creators. Abzu was haunting, mesmerising, and a delight to play. I just sat meditating watching all the life around me (especially certain ones towards the end that were a nice surprise!). 🤩👍

I watched Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. I thought it was a fantastic adaptation, beautiful visually, and emphasising Victor’s own monstrosity in the face of the “someone” he created and would not accept. Didn’t like some of the choices but the heart of the novel was there for me. Great watch!🤩

Not usually a horror person, but want to try and find horror movies after seeing the last Conjuring film…and deciding I didn’t find it horrific (though it was still a fun night out with a friend!) This, this is going on my list… ooh, eco-horror… 🤩👍

I was sorely tempted to *immediately* replay Hollow Knight after beating the final boss a few months ago. Nevermind it took me many, many attempts of many bosses to get to that point… Loved that game.

Nearing the end…ish of Tales of Vesperia, my first in the series. Really enjoyable, fun characters and mechanics, I just wish I could properly follow the side-quests! Would definitely like to playing more of the series if they’re on the Switch. 🤩👍
