7 hours of fixes and some very numb hands later, I may have isolated Kev's catastrophic PC failures to... The power button. Just a stuck case button spamming the mobo. ANNOYING to bypass (screwdriver to the pins) but quite possibly one of the best case scenario causes. Even if it took 7 hours.

It's 9:00 PM. The temperature in my office has finally ~fallen~ to 31C (87.8F) with 2 fans going. End me.

The child has now officially graduated middle school. Where the hell did the years go???

On the bright side, things seem to be calming down a bit now. The homeless kiddo has another house that's been helping out the past week or so and we're finally starting to get the apartment back together. I don't want to deal with Fam & Children's Services and the cops in tandem ever again.

Hookay. The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity. Well worth it to make sure everyone was safe and healthy, but I really need the world to leave me alone for a few days so I can get anything done! 🫠

Sorry for disappearing. Suddenly found ourselves sheltering one of my kid's friends while we go through a bunch of stuff with children's services and the police. Very tiring. I haven't had a lot of spare energy. But the kid is safe, and that's what's important.

And I just keep dropping the ball. My kid is now suspended from school because during all this I forgot to update her vaccination records on file. The doctor won't answer questions anywhere but in person which involved somehow getting us to the other end of town and it got put off. Fuuuuuuu--

I love how my health repeatedly drains our bank account at inconvenient times. I love how OHIP doesn't cover a bunch because we have "private" work insurance. I love that the work insurance decides to not cover something correctly and takes weeks to get back to us when we try to fix it. I'm tired.

I both love and hate inspection season: ➕ The apartment finally gets cleaned to my standards; ➖ This is the first inspection since the co-op changed the rules and refused to grandfather in my washing machine and dishwasher. I dunno what to do... Disconnect and hide the machines, I guess? :(

Clip's latest version really doesn't like my computer. It's like the oldschool Windows Solitaire victory screen over here any time I pan or zoom the canvas. OTL
