A before and after of what Shk Isa Grand Mosque looks like today in the old city of Muharraq where I grew up in Bahrain. I like how the place is getting a cultural quarter, with small squares, pedestrianised roads and alleyways. The old mosque had just been torn down when I last visited Bahrain.
