The Coffee Table is billed as a dark comedy/horror. The comedy is truly the darkest and the horror is anxiety inducingly horrific. The stellar acting only elevates this weird little Spanish movie. A tough watch but a strong recommendation!

Got a new hat

Black and white, mostly dialogue free, slapstick, creepy furry costumes, like a live action Looney Tunes cartoon. If that sounds like your kinda thing, I highly recommend ‘Hundreds of Beavers’. It does drag a bit towards the end but well worth the ride.

The original Hell House LLC was genuinely creepy in parts, the sequels sucked though, so I wasn’t expecting much from Hell House LLC: Origins. Happy to say it was pretty good and although not quite up to part one’s standard, they make a pretty good combo. You can skip two and three.

Bodies on Netflix. British crime drama, time travel, Victorian homosexuals! Pretty decent so far.

My Halloween night movie was When Evil Lurks. A bleak, brutal, relentless, messed up ride.

Took a trip this weekend to Burk’s Falls, Ontario to look at some spooky outdoor art. The Screaming Heads were perfect for the Halloween vibes.

Thinking I should post more to encourage myself to do more so that I have something to post about. I can’t just post about sitting on my sofa staring into the void every day.
