We watched the Howard the Duck episode of What If? last night, and now my youngest keeps singing 'I Was Made For Lovin' You' by Kiss to the cat.

Well, it's official. I'll get the bad thigh vein cauterized and then cut out. Any smaller veins will be glued shut. After the insurance required 12 weeks of compression legging wear, mind. Fun!

So I have a bad vein in my right thigh that needs to be taken care of (ie glued shut, cauterized, or removed) but insurance requires I wear compression leggings for 12(!) weeks to prove that that wouldn't just fix the problem.

Last night, I went to Detroit to see The Blood Brothers. Will I go to a weekday show 2.5 hours away again? Not likely, as I've been a zombie most of the day. But I was thrilled to see them for the first time for the 20th anniversary of Crimes.

One of my favorite things from PaxU was @mattfaulisi.bsky.social finding my name in the rulebook for the new @offthepagegames.bsky.social 's game, Corp of Discovery. I'm pretty sure it's the first time it's been in one!

@evandiesel.bsky.social and I learned Atlas Lost today. Tactical Games went a little heavy with the alliteration here.

I saw some crows, so I threw out some peanuts. Now, there are more crows.

@evandiesel.bsky.social and I cleaned up all our clothes/closet and found a dog sweater that looked nice on the cat and a bow tie, which made M.O. very dapper.

We got the cats a catnip die at UCon last weekend. It's amusing watching them roll it around. I feel like I should have got the other dice shapes, too.

The kids were messing around trying to play keep away or something and dropped a water bottle on the dog. Now, one of his pupils is enlarged. He's acting fine, but I'm worried. 🤕🐶

Our last game of UCon was Courtisans, also taught by @nyobari.bsky.social Influence the court either positively or negatively to earn points with the families you play in front of you.

Our 10th game of UCon was Landmarks taught to us by @nyobari.bsky.social ! It's slightly reminiscent of code names but you're using word associations to try deduce where the good spaces of the map are. Very fun!

Our 9th game of UCon was My Favorite Things again. This time we taught it to @boardagain.bsky.social !

Our 8th game of UCon was Belratti, a cooperative card where you try to decide which paintings are forgeries. Unfortunately, Belratti pulled the wool over our eyes!

Our 7th game of UCon was Hello! Tea Time, a deluxe Vegetable Stock variant where the leftover card feeds Kitty those desserts but watch out or she'll get sick of it!

Our 6th game of UCon was Frying Master! A speed dexterity game where you must use your spatula card to place the correct food tiles on your order plates. First to 4 plates ends thr round but each plate has different score and you could lose points for unwanted ingredients!

Our 5th game of UCon was Stamp Swap. We screwed up a few rules and a loud convention might have not been the best place to learn but Grayson was the best collector by far.

Our 4th game of UCon was another trick taker, Hot Pot Holic. This time, you don't necessarily want to win the trick as the win order determines how many actions you get.

Game 3 of UCon was The Game. We stopped at Leo's Coney Island, across the street, for dinner. We busted with 14 cards left.
