one thing that always stands out about this art to me as well is the depiction of sin eaters as beings *with* a being clearly visible inside their mouths. like it's taking pains to highlight the fact that sin eaters are largely born of former people

the funniest thing about playing tales of the abyss for the first time is that so many people have crawled out of nowhere to be like. hey. hey. my husband jade curtiss is in that game. have you seen him? are you appreciating him yet?

i deleted all of the apps from my phone so now i'm just forcing myself to read the heavensward script instead

tales of the abyss moment where jade joins your party and you're like yaaaaaaaaaay it's so easy to deal w/ these random encounters now! he kills everything instantly! and then as soon as you leave the forest, he arrests you

not even a jrpg but the great ace attorney does this and it pulls it off beautiful. what a great series of games

i'm sure i'm the only person who's ever heard of this game but it blew my tiny little mind when i played it for the first time when i was 13 (?). the biggest thing about this game is that you can recruit characters and THEN... you can sacrifice them in a very dramatic way that makes battles

tbh tactics ogre is one of my favourite games and i think it is really high up there on my list of "well-written games".... it makes me so sad that discussion of the game is soooo rare like even the subreddit is just people discussing battle strategies. and i'm like dude.. we need to talk about ozma
