I'm disgustingly saddened over this. I wish the vet suggested bloodwork when we first started treating the gingivitis a year ago. She was my light, and I feel so lost without her. Hold your babies close for me.

Today, I had to put down my cuddlebug, Freya, due to end stage kidney failure. They said it was likely genetic, and we had been treating her for gingivitis. I wish I saw the signs better, but at least I got this photo of her prior. She was the sweetest, calmest cat I've ever had. I'm devastated.

People being uncomfortable with negative emotions is a major problem in society right now. The discomfort worsens the empathy crisis.
