Our copies of the Guidance on the Environmental Conditions of Detention arrived today! All NPM monitors can look out for their copies in the new year - raising awareness of how environmental conditions of places of detention may contribute to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or torture

In advance of #HumanRightsDay I’m proud to join @campaignbear.bsky.social & @UKNPM.bsky.social in launching the 1st phase output from our #EnviroConditionsOfDetention project. Ending #torture & #CIDT requires taking care to pay attention to the smaller details in all detention settings.
