I've been back in Portland since Monday and I'm already fucking tired of it. It doesn't feel right living here anymore.

In other news, my car still has 12v issues. The 12v battery is just weak enough where it won't keep a charge from a short drive and the HV battery doesn't charge it as often under 40% SOC But my car is also probably going back to the lender so I might just get a refurb to hold me over.

Somehow didn't get con crud despite being pushed to my absolute limit of being stressed out (not naming names or reasons why) during Get Out The Float. Next year my travel plans will be different so I can avoid it altogether.

Why am I getting stressed out from the idea of going back to drive for Uber and Lyft again? Probably because I had time to reflect while I was away for so long. I really need to just get a regular job again.

Speaking of future cons, I really hope Furvana squashed all the bugs and got their stuff together. The reason I didn't attend last year was because there was so little time to plan. Everything got announced too late. Not to mention that it's expensive to stay in Ocean Shores.

I'm glad I attended @getoutthefloat.com this year, and I will continue to attend every year. There were some hiccups but thankfully nothing major. I just enjoy being in Seaside and being around a bunch of awesome people!

For next year's @getoutthefloat.com , I am making sure that there is NO confusion on who I am or what my username is. Apparently going by five names didn't help with confusion on what my schedule preference was. Concat isn't perfect so I have to make sure it's all correct before I submit anything

@getoutthefloat.com 2026 is officially wrapped up! Next year will be Feburary 4-7. I booked the same room, even though it's somehow more expensive. But to be fair, booking. com actually quoted higher than direct. I didn't want to wait for the special rate lol two of the rooms were already booked

Just a reminder, I'm not attending Furlandia this year. It's too expensive. I will be attending GOTF next year as well as Furvana. I'll try to attend more local meets!

I'm going to try to come back to Seaside some time in the future. All of last year I didn't get to take a single vacation, because of stupid personal stuff happening. I would also like to attend more furry meets, ones that have reasonable accommodation for parking or easily accessible by transit

Booked the same room for next year's Get Out The Float. For some inexplicable reason, the room is $90 more than this year. But to be fair it seems to be expensive to run a smaller inn at the coast so I'm assuming that there's an increase in operation costs. I still feel like it's a good deal

Another year of @getoutthefloat.com over with! It's very bittersweet but I enjoyed my time. I'm happy that I got to volunteer (with some hiccups with the Sched app) and will definitely do it again. I may do evenings instead of mornings depending on how the buyers boulevard goes. Thanks everyone!

No, I can't afford to attend Furlandia for the full weekend. Assuming I arrive day zero and leave a day after con is over, my total cost before even paying for registration is: $952 with parking, even on the discount code. That is absurd. The room I'm staying in for GOTF was $590 with free parking
