As I refilled my weekly pill case with all my prescription drugs I took a moment to wonder: Is the real reason so many senior citizens are in the ham radio hobby that we have an inexhaustible supply of pill bottles which are PERFECT for making loading coils for antennae?

Doing a POTA activation on Thursday I had my first actual DX contact. 3500 miles ON6NL in Belgium. My previous long distance was something like 1600 miles to Oklahoma.
