Finally got to pick up Superman on 4K Ultra HD. I'm so pumped to watch it again and again and again ..

So, I was listening to the "My Summer with Superman" podcast today with @thechrishaley.bsky.social and @denobel.bsky.social . They were talking about "ping ween" but my brain thought they said "PENG-ween" and got the idea for these little doodles. I may have to go back and revisit these.

One thing I love about the state of phone cameras now is the detail with portraits. Whether it's the fabric, individual errant hairs, or even the texture of the skin, I love seeing the details that make a photo feel real and genuine.

Last night, I wanted to make enchiladas. However, I did not feel confident in my tortilla rolling skills with my hand still wrapped. So, I made a lasagna/casserole thing with the ingredients and it turned out really good.

Sometimes, I eat five or six Altoids all at once just to feel alive.

Today is a very "shut up brain" day.

The day we met Prometheus, he loved Rori from the start. He walked up to her and just leaned on her immediately. He chose us as much as we chose him. Seven years and lots of white hairs later, he still loves to be next to her. Look at his smile.

It was 64 degrees when I woke up and beautiful outside. So, I went for a walk and took some pictures. #photography

One thing I was nervous about with this second surgery is that since I'm left handed, this recovery might be more frustrating. I tried to play video games and that hurt. I tried drawing and that hurt. I tried guitar and ukulele. That hurt. Gonna be a long two weeks with the bandages

I only worked half a day today so I could go to my pre surgery appointment. RAW started early today and I was home in time to watch it from the beginning. Coincidence? Yes. It was completely a coincidence.

When did August become 87 days long?! How is it not September yet?!

Healed hand means I can finally go back to my aikido dojo for the first time in 2 months. I'm so happy! Granted, I have surgery on the OTHER wrist this week, so I'll be out for another 2 months. I don't love that, but I at least get to go today.

Sometimes, I'll think "Oh, I hate the cold way more." Other times, I think "Man, this heat is the worst." And then, I remember that I'm an adult and I don't HAVE to choose. I can hate them both!

Spooky season is getting closer.

My old boy Prometheus. He’s almost 13. I know he has more days behind him than in front of him, so I love to snap pics of him when I can.

Having an old dog who doesn’t understand the concept of a weekend means that sleeping in on Saturday and Sunday is almost assuredly not going to happen. I just wish I was better at going back to sleep. Oh well…bring on the coffee.

I shall call him “Ledbetter.”
