you know, i think the Final Fantasy VII remakes (so far) are probably my favourite modern AAA games. i have them on PS5 but I'm very tempted to get them on Switch 2 as well. ⚔️ Rebirth in particular was just absolutely phenomenal. Crazy to see Final Fantasy's return to Nintendo!

Few hours into Clair Obscur now, but I can confidently say this is quite an astonishing game. From the plot, to the gorgeous graphics and music, to the fun turn based gameplay and references to French art history. For someone who grew up on Final Fantasy, this game is an absolute achievement. ✨

Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom might be my favourite open world game ever. I love just dipping in and looking around at wee props and environments every so often to feel a little inspired. I know it has been done to death, but I'd take a third game/farming sim in that world.

my mam found my old PS2. it still powers on and unbelievably had Final Fantasy X inside of it! that disk has probably been in there for 20 years!

finally rolled credits on Metaphor Refantazio. what an absolute romp. I really enjoyed the adventure and how earnest it was about it's message of uplifting others and collective struggle. Louis in particular should go down as one of the best JRPG villains of all time. absolute scene-stealer!
